Live music and dance calling from the London Klezmer Quartet (www.londonklezmerquartet.com), the most in-demand performers and dance callers on the UK klezmer scene. They’ll take you through the steps and old-style dances from jewish eastern Europe, for which this music exists, including lively freylekhs, sinuous horas and upbeat bulgars.

The Wongawilli Colonial Dance Club will celebrate St Patrick's Day with a Irish Ceili on Wednesday 21 March with sensational Irish band Beoga, on tour in Australia.
Guest callers will be Margaret and Bill Winnett from the Sydney Irish Ceili Dancers.
All dances will be called and walked through with no prior experience necessary.
The aims of the Wongawilli Colonial Dance Club are to enjoy socially music, song and dance from whatever culture.
The cost is $3 per adult and children are free and a light supper with tea and coffee is also included.

Monthly Traditional Music Sessions Started!

The regular Bush Dance at Wongawilli Hall will become a traditional music session for the last Wednesday of coming months.
It will be a chance for musicians to play traditional tunes and songs in a free and relaxed situation.
Sheet music will still be provided to encourage new musicians to join in.
Dancers are still welcome but there will be no calling or walking through of dances.
BYO drinks with a supper still provided.The cost will be $3 per adult, children free.

Opportunity for Wednesday Night Charity Bush Dance
If you know of a worthy charity then let us know. We will organise one of our Wednesday night dances to be given to the Charity. The charity's role is to get people there and we will donate all the entry money for that night to the cause, including providing the supper. Raffles are also welcome
Some of the past recipients of funds have included Victorian Bush Fire Appeal, Daffodil Day, Ceoliac Association.
The Club has been actively involved in producing and promoting publications and recordings of Australian folk music, song and dance since 1990.
There are 18 music recordings and 20 publications in the catalogue. They are great resources for educational and recreational purposes.

Wongawilli Colonial Dance Club is a non-profit incorporated association with the aims of promoting, performing and preserving Australia's folk dance and music culture.
